MY EVOLUTION ON THE PATH OF THE EVENT PLANNER

At 28, I stood in the middle of a beautifully set hall — and realized this was never just a job.

From the outside, my role looked straightforward: coordinate the venue, manage the vendors, make sure the chairs are aligned. I had the title, the responsibility, and the trust of Uttara Community Center behind me. I had built a reputation. I had checked every box.

But inside? I knew there was something deeper happening every time an event came together.

Beneath the logistics and timelines, I felt something stir — every time a bride’s face lit up, every time a child ran laughing through a birthday celebration, every time a corporate room filled with energy and purpose. This wasn’t coordination.

This was memory-making.

In my early years, I sought out every experience I could find. I threw myself into weddings, birthdays, corporate gatherings, community events — absorbing everything. And somewhere in that process, something cracked open in me:

What followed was a deep commitment. Not just to logistics — but to the craft of celebration. To understanding that every event has a soul. And my job is to honor it.

The Shift

Today, as Event Planner, Venue Manager, and Lead Coordinator at Uttara Community Center, I no longer simply “organize events.” I shape experiences.
